OUR BOARD.
Our History.
Did you know that Tourism Revelstoke used to be known as the Revelstoke Accommodation Association (RAA) and our board was originally comprised of only traditional accommodation providers? This is because the Municipal & Regional District tax (MRDT) is voted on and collected by accommodators within Revelstoke and the CSRD Area B. Back in 2008, Revelstoke accommodators voted to implement the MRDT within our community. As a result of this decision, tourists pay a tax on all accommodation stays that is then funnelled back into our community. In 2022, accommodators voted to increase this tax from 2% to 3%, with all of the additional funds going to support Destination Management.
Seeing the need to represent all tourism partners from the City of Revelstoke and CSRD Area B, and not just those from the accommodation sector, in 2018, RAA began doing business as Tourism Revelstoke. Following this shift, in 2022, Tourism Revelstoke decided to diversify it’s board of directors to ensure all sectors were represented and had a seat at the table.
Tourism Revelstoke is a non-profit association governed by a Board of Directors. Our board members are voted on and elected for a two-year term at our Annual General Meeting (typically held in May). Prior to hosting our AGM, Tourism Revelstoke puts a call out to all tourism partners who would like to be considered for a board seat. Board members are expected to attend a monthly board meeting and read all correspondence that is shared from the Executive Director.

Kevin Manuel oversees all aspects of marketing at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. As a year-round destination, Kevin works closely with local and regional DMOs to showcase Revelstoke’s unique experiences.
As a member of the Kootenay Rockies Tourism Board of Directors, Kevin is an advocate for tourism in the Kootenay Rockies region and British Columbia. Kevin brings over ten years of experience in a senior marketing role with a diverse skillset across digital marketing, advertising, customer relationship marketing, and communications. Kevin is passionate about the adventure tourism industry and committed to delivering memorable experiences for visitors, residents, and employees.

Rohit’s passion for hospitality is evident in his leadership, where he consistently drives both team excellence and guest satisfaction. Beyond his role at the hotel, Rohit is actively involved in the community, serving on the Revelstoke Tourism Board of Directors and the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is deeply committed to fostering the growth and development of Revelstoke as a leading destination and thriving business hub.
