OUR BOARD.
Tourism Revelstoke is a non-profit association governed by a Board of Directors. Our board members are voted on and elected for a two-year term at our Annual General Meeting (typically held in May). Prior to hosting our AGM, Tourism Revelstoke puts a call out to all tourism partners who would like to be considered for a board seat. Board members are expected to attend a monthly board meeting and read all correspondence that is shared from the Executive Director.
Our board is currently comprised of 11 seats representing 4 different sectors;

Mike Brown | Vice President

Mike has been active in the experience provider space for the last decade as owner of The Taco Club, a mainstay of downtown Revelstoke's restaurant scene. He is also a local Realtor with Royal Lepage Revelstoke, giving him a multidisciplinary view of Revelstoke's developing tourism economy. In his spare time, Mike enjoys skiing, biking, and exploring the outdoors with his family.

Nico Lenders | President

Nico Leenders has an MBA from the University of Calgary. He came to Revelstoke in 2013, to run the Marketing department of Revelstoke Mountain Resort, which he did for 5 seasons. During that time, he was elected to the Board of Directors of Kootenay Rockies Tourism. Nico also worked closely with Destination British Columbia and designed their Digital Co-Op Marketing Program with Ski Resorts, Heli/Cat-Skiing operators. Since 2018, Nico has been overseeing operations for WesternTrust, a property management company that manages over a thousand licensed vacation rentals in 9 ski destinations – Whistler, Big White, Fernie, Canmore, Mont Tremblant, Jackson Hole, Park City, Aspen and of course Revelstoke. Nico brings with him an intimate knowledge of the tourism industry and market drivers that affect not just Revelstoke, but those of some of its biggest competitors.
Carol Palladino | Secretary

Carol has a deep appreciation for the arts and culture scene in Revelstoke. She is a founding member and the current co-chair of Arts Revelstoke, a founding member of the Revelstoke Visual Arts Society and the current chair of the Revelstoke Public Art Committee, she also sits on the Revelstoke Economic Development Committee. A Revelstoke local (since 1979) and retired from work in finance and community economic development with Community Futures as a business analyst, her goal is to expand the tourism offering in Revelstoke to include more arts and culture opportunities.

Revelstoke Mountain Resort. Peter grew up in the hospitality business on Vancouver Island and has been in Revelstoke since 2008. Peter has been on the board since 2009 serving as chair for many years.

Dave is the General Manager and Lead Ski Guide at Selkirk Tangiers Heli Skiing. Dave is also a board member of Helicat Canada. Dave has been working in the mechanized skiing industry since 1996 and has spent most of his time based out of the Revelstoke area skiing the Monashee and Selkirk Mountains. In the summer you'll find Dave in the valley bottoms guiding remote fly fishing trips for Stonefly Guiding Co., a guiding business which him and his wife, Natalie, own.

Kevin Manuel oversees all aspects of marketing at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. As a year-round destination, Kevin works closely with local and regional DMOs to showcase Revelstoke’s unique experiences.
As a member of the Kootenay Rockies Tourism Board of Directors, Kevin is an advocate for tourism in the Kootenay Rockies region and British Columbia. Kevin brings over ten years of experience in a senior marketing role with a diverse skillset across digital marketing, advertising, customer relationship marketing, and communications. Kevin is passionate about the adventure tourism industry and committed to delivering memorable experiences for visitors, residents, and employees.

Rohit’s passion for hospitality is evident in his leadership, where he consistently drives both team excellence and guest satisfaction. Beyond his role at the hotel, Rohit is actively involved in the community, serving on the Revelstoke Tourism Board of Directors and the Revelstoke Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is deeply committed to fostering the growth and development of Revelstoke as a leading destination and thriving business hub.
