If you answered yes to the above questions, you may be a good fit for our team. Tourism Revelstoke is seeking a passionate, skilled, and organized Social Media Coordinator to join our team. This hybrid role is a contract position that guarantees 15 hours per week, with the flexibility to work remotely while requiring at least one day per week in our Revelstoke office. What You’ll Do
Coordinate Tourism Revelstoke’s social media accounts: Scheduling content, moderating, and engaging on these platforms daily.
Content Scheduling: Plan, organize, and publish engaging content across social platforms.
Source UGC: Use Crowdriff to curate user-generated content that aligns with our brand.
Engagement: Respond to DMs, comments, and questions to build meaningful connections with our audience and foster a thriving online community.
Content Creation: Capture on-brand photos and videos showcasing Revelstoke’s unique vibe.
Influencer & Media Strategy: Assist the Marketing Team on collaborations with influencers and media partners.
Digital Marketing Strategy: Contribute to paid and organic campaigns that support Tourism Revelstoke’s Annual Tactical Plan and 5-year strategic business plan.
Local Focus: Include the right local focus on our social media channels. We support visitors, our community, and our tourism partners through social media. Balancing all three is key.
Analytics: Monitor social media performance, provide actionable insights, and report monthly on Key Performance Indicators.
Sustainability: Create content that promotes responsible visitation and aligns with Tourism Revelstoke’s commitment to sustainability. Educate visitors on respecting the environment and avoiding overcrowded or fragile areas by highlighting responsible practices and less-traveled alternatives (read more here).
Must-Haves
Social media photography and video creation skills; experience creating content on social media platforms.
Excellent copywriting skills with attention to detail and ability to adhere to Tourism Revelstoke’s brand voice.
Ability to extract relevant data and respond to insights across social media accounts.
Positive attitude, detail-oriented, and good multitasking/organizational ability.
Passion for the community of Revelstoke and the mountain lifestyle.
Residency in Revelstoke.
Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Nice-To-Haves
Experience managing social media channels (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok).
Graphic design experience.
Background in tourism or experience working with a Destination Marketing & Management Organization (DMMO).
Additional Details
Due to the nature of travel habits, Revelstoke’s social media channels experience the highest engagement on weekends. This position will require social monitoring for at least a couple of hours on weekends to ensure timely responses and community engagement.
Must be available to work in our Revelstoke office at least once a week, Tuesday or Wednesday. This in-person time is crucial for team collaboration, attending meetings, brainstorming ideas, and connecting with others in the space.
Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to working with Tourism Revelstoke for the remainder of 2025.
The candidate must be legally eligible to work in Canada. Tourism Revelstoke will not sponsor work permits.
