DBC Iconics Strategy Development

The Invest in Iconics Strategy is one of the three levers of Destination BC’s 2023-2025 Corporate Strategy, Compelling Reasons to Explore BC. In partnership with Indigenous Tourism BC, and with the support of tourism partners and communities throughout the province, Destination BC is branding, marketing, and supporting the development of globally compelling routes and places that span the entire province of British Columbia. Southeast BC (working title), which encompasses the entirety of the Kootenay Rockies tourism region, is one of these iconic place brands.  Brand development is now underway to outline how we will position the brand in key international markets.

We are working to identify priority destination development opportunities that will bring this brand to life as well as aligning with the implementation of the Kootenay Rockies Destination Development Strategy being led by the Kootenay Rockies Tourism Association and the Regional Destination Management Committee.
